Meet Our Assistant Principal
Welcome to the 2019-2020 school year! We are excited to start a new year with even more smiling faces as we expand to a 2nd-5th grade campus. We know changes can be challenging, and sometimes scary, but we want to assure you we are here to learn and grow with your child and we will do all we can to make the transition go smoothly.
This is the start of my third year with Krum ISD and my 12th year in education. Prior to being a 4th grade teacher here in Krum, I taught at a high needs campus in Denton ISD. I have taught all grades 1st-4th. I graduated from Texas Woman’s University in 2007 with a Bachelors in Interdisciplinary Studies and graduated from the University of North Texas in 2017 with a Master of Educational Leadership Degree.
Prior to moving to the Denton area, I grew up in a small town in east Texas. I graduated from Martin’s Mill High School with only 21 people in my graduating class! We were only a 1A school at the time and they still do not have football. I loved every minute of small town living and small school experiences. We looked to give our children the same school and community memories. Krum felt like home instantly! We love the close-knit feeling of this community and the hometown pride shown by generations of Krum Bobcats.
As educators, our goal is to provide a safe and nurturing environment that plants and fosters the love of life-long learning. We encourage parental involvement and open lines of communication while we work together as partners in your child’s educational growth.
We look forward to collaborating with you, your child, and the community to create a paramount educational experience.
