Meet Our Assistant Principal
Welcome to the 2020-21 school year! This past year has certainly been full of changes and learning opportunities. We have learned how to remote teach, remote learn, video conference, and work from home. There is no way our students and staff could do it without your ongoing understanding, commitment to education, and support. Thank you for all that you have done, and continue to do, to support our efforts. It fills our hearts with joy to see kids in the halls, students joining us by video, and hearing laughter and fun happening again at our school.
This is the start of my forth year with Krum ISD and my 13th year in education. Prior to being a 4th grade teacher here in Krum, I taught at a high needs campus in Denton ISD. I have taught all grades 1st-4th. I graduated from Texas Woman’s University in 2007 with a Bachelors in Interdisciplinary Studies and graduated from the University of North Texas in 2017 with a Master of Educational Leadership Degree.
Prior to moving to the Denton area, I grew up in a small town in east Texas. I graduated from Martin’s Mill High School with only 21 people in my graduating class! We were only a 1A school at the time and they still do not have football. I loved every minute of small town living and small school experiences. We looked to give our children the same school and community memories. Krum felt like home instantly! We love the close-knit feeling of this community and the hometown pride shown by generations of Krum Bobcats.
As educators, our goal is to provide a safe and nurturing environment that plants and fosters the love of life-long learning. We encourage parental involvement and open lines of communication while we work together as partners in your child’s educational growth.
We look forward to collaborating with you, your child, and the community to create a paramount educational experience.
