Mrs. Dorsey's Mathletes

Hello! Welcome to the 22-23 school year. My name is Mrs. Dorsey. This is my third year teaching at Dodd Elementary, and Krum ISD. I couldn't be more thrilled. Dodd Elementary is a warm and nurturing environment and I am blessed to be a part of such a great school. I think that all children deserve love, understanding, compassion, and a chance to shine. I will do my best to ensure that all students will be guided to live up to their highest potential. I want all the students to feel safe, listened to and welcome. 
 
I love all things to do with numbers, and I plan to share my passion for teaching and Math with all of my students. Get your thinking caps on, Bobcats!

About Me

I am married and have one son. We live in rural Decatur. My husband, Gaylon, owned a very small trucking business, and retired this year. Our son, Josh, just turned 12 years old, and will be in 7th grade at KMS. We have a big fluffy cat, Kya. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I also enjoy watching my son play football and basketball. I grew up in Milwaukee, WI, lived in Florida for a few years, then Oklahoma, and finally, found my forever home in Texas for the past 14 years. My husband is a generational Texan, and we are proud to raise our son with Texas roots.
