Mrs. Brown's 4th Grade Class         kelli
Howdy Bobcats! My name is Kelli Brown and I am so excited for this school year! This is my second year here at Krum ISD, and my second year to teach 4th grade at Dodd. This year I will be teaching Writing and Social Studies. My two wonderful co-teachers are Mr. Freer and Ms. Coon. We are ALL  excited to be teaching 4th grade here at Dodd. I am a graduate of Abilene Christian University: 1st-8th General Ed, Math, and P.E. I have taught in public and private schools for several years.
I have been blessed with a wonderful family! I have an amazing husband named Jeffrey, five beautiful children; Spencer, Brittney, Keller, Connor, Decker, and one perfect granddaughter named Kennedy Rose. Spencer, Brittney, and Kennedy Rose live in Florida. Keller lives in Fort Worth, Connor is teaching English in South Korea, and Decker is a SENIOR here at Krum High School. We love to travel and cherish spending family time together!

I use a text reminder application called Remind that will allow me to periodically send out classroom and school reminders via text message reminders.

Simply text @bdespar  to 81010 for Campus reminders

@ Dodd4th  to 81010 for Classroom reminders

Rest assured that you will not receive advertisement texts and your phone number will remain private. You may choose to opt out at any time by texting ‘STOP’ to the above number.

I hope this will help strengthen the home-school connection.

Every Friday, your child will take home a “Friday Folder” consisting of any graded papers.  Please review these papers with your child and go over any mistakes. Any other paperwork will be found here, as well.

This newsletter will announce upcoming projects, events, activities, tests, or any special needs for the classroom.  You may find this updated on my website each week and emailed out. If you would prefer a paper copy please send a note to school with your student, and I will send home a paper copy in their Friday Folder.

Students are expected to fill out their assignments every day in all of their core classes, take their planners home to be reviewed and returned the following dayAny misbehavior in the classroom/school is documented here as well. This is a great communication tool to use in all aspects of your child’s education.

Any misbehavior in the classroom/school will be documented in the student's conduct folder. This is a great communication tool to use in all aspects of your child’s education. Please review and sign the conduct sheet daily with your student.

I am looking forward to working with you and your child this year.  I hope we will all grow together and have a successful year. If you have any questions, please call @ 940-482-2603  during my conference break at 8:15-9:15 am. You are welcome to email me as well
