MR. FREER

WELCOME TO 4TH GRADE

My name is Brandon Freer. I am so excited for this upcoming year. This will be my fourth year teaching and my third year teaching math. I have taught fifth grade math and last year I did fourth grade math. My goal for your students this year is growth! I want them to grow in their love for school as well as their love for math. I also want them to know that, mistakes are proof we are trying and not something to be scared of! We are going to learn a lot and have a lot of fun this year in math. One thing I want parents and students to know about math this year is there is NOT only 1 way to do math! As long as students can show me their understanding of the concept, the way they get to it can be many different ways.

A little about me:

I have an amazing wife Kara and 3 wonderful kids Brayden (8), Brynlee (7) and Eastyn (3). We have lived in Krum for almost 2 years now and love the small town community. I attended Dallas Baptist University and graduated with a bachelor's degree in biology.  I love baseball! My favorite sports teams are the Texas Rangers, Oklahoma Sooners, and Dallas Cowboys.

I cannot wait for this year! I think this is going to be great and I look forward to getting to know your child. Please do not hesitate to email or call me with any questions or concerns.

HOW TO STAY INFORMED

I use a text reminder application called Remind that will allow me to periodically send out classroom and school reminders via text message reminders.

Simply text @bdespar  to 81010 for Campus reminders

@ Dodd4t  to 81010 for Classroom reminders

Rest assured that you will not receive advertisement texts and your phone number will remain private. You may choose to opt out at any time by texting ‘STOP’ to the above number.

I hope this will help strengthen the home-school connection.

FRIDAY FOLDERS

Every Friday, your child will take home a “Friday Folder” consisting of any graded papers.  Please review these papers with your child and go over any mistakes. Any other paperwork will be found here, as well.

WEEKLY NEWSLETTER

This newsletter will announce upcoming projects, events, activities, tests, or any special needs for the classroom.  You may find this updated on my website each week and emailed out. If you would prefer a paper copy please send a note to school with your student, and I will send home a paper copy in their Friday Folder.
